They still have tables free. If i can shake this pesky kidney infection that i have been battling for a week (ugh) then i will be going to check it out.
I love that there seems to be a much bigger craft movement in the UK now. I am coming across so many great blogs and inspirational crafters!

I met some wonderful crafty people…..and it has really got me in the mood to keep on with it. As soon as my thesis is handed in (1 month to go……eeeek!) i am going to set up a proper business again.

I am getting there with my quilt…i decided to make a cot-sized one to start with, as i had a lot of children’s character fabric and also a lot of anxiety over making one! I will post a photo when it is done….but, tell me off if that happens soon as it will mean i have not been working hard enough on my dissertation!

I am trying to take my mind off the fact that i should be at an Animal Collective gig tonight with someone lovely, but could not get a ticket. Boo.

Since my last post i have procrastinated constantly, so i feel even more stressed! ARGH!! I bring it all upon myself though, i just need to get on with it and i will feel much better.
I do love the way that the sunshine makes everyone seem happier though…check out this graffiti i found today on Brick Lane.

So, my latest ‘not work but still important’ project is to make a quilt!! I have never done this so it feels a bit daunting (any advice is appreciated!). I have ordered a book from amazon called ‘scrap quilt sensation!, and a whole heap of material offcuts from ebay but i am not sure what kind of quilt to try! Last night i was scrolling through some blogs and came across this one from Anna Maria Horner. I love her folk dance quilt! But i think it may be toooo hard for me! I would love to see photos of any quilts that other people have made. Maybe i should do a baby sized one to start with? xox

All this while listening to BBC6 music, which has a phone in about how we all constantly check our emails and check our phones for texts, even though we know that NO-ONE HAS CONTACTED US!!!! My phone has been right there next to me, but JUST IN CASE, i keep looking!
I know this is classic work avoidance! So, i was wondering, what do you do to avoid work, or other things you dont want to do? And, do you have any advice for me? I really need to get this work done! ARGH!!!

Last night, in more work avoidance news, i made this bambi deer.

She is a bit wonky but i love the fabric! I am off to the vintage rock and roll jumble sale later today, so i hope to come home with lots more loveliness!

I remember spending hours taping songs off the top 40 and pretending to be a DJ inbetween. I used to read out problem page letters from magazines and try to answer them! I dread to think what is in the top 40 these days…i was ashamed just watching the Brits!
